6 Things You Shouldn't Do the Week of Your Wedding

Sponsored with love by Luster Premium White

There are some things that you wait until the week of the wedding to do — get your nails done, put together the edible wedding favors, finalize your vows. And then there are the things, you should hold off from doing in that final week and I’m going to tell you what and why.

1. Facials

Pre-wedding facials are great! It’s a time for relaxation among all of the craziness and maybe even a fun day trip with your mom or soon-to-be mother in law or the ladies who will stand by your site on your big day. But just in case you have any sort of skin reaction, I’d highly recommend booking these spa trips a couple weeks before the wedding…just in case.

2. Teeth Whitening

My husband and I both whitened our teeth before our wedding day. Of course it’s not a necessity but we both wanted to look and feel our best. And with all of those photos being taken that would be our favorite photos for the rest of our lives, it’s just something we decided to do…but we did it early.

3. Getting Your Hair Done

Of course you want your locks looking fresh and vibrant but have you ever heard of a hair disaster? Because I have! And there would be nothing worse than leaving the salon with something you aren’t in love with, with not enough time to fix it or change it to something you love. So give yourself plenty of time to fix any potential mishaps.

4. Break in Your Wedding Shoes

You want to be comfortable on your wedding day, even if you plan on changing right after the ceremony and photos. So break those shoes in for weeks or even months beforehand, if possible. You’re going to be nervous as it is so you might as well be comfortable!

5. Change Your Eating Habits

You are going to look wonderful on your wedding day and the week before your wedding is just not the time to change your diet. Eat healthy, drink plenty of water and get your body prepped for the best day of your life!

6. Add or Change Wedding Details

Your wedding day is going to be wonderful and perfect and it’s going to be a dream. So don’t second guess your decisions because you made those decisions without pressure, for a reason. Let go, breathe, and just get ready to have some fun!
