12 Days of Weddings

On the 12th day of weddings, The Overwhelmed Bride inspired me...

It's our last day of featured weddings to finish off 2015 and we are definitely ending on a high note! While I did not have the pleasure of planning this wedding, it was shot by one of our Bride List preferred photographers, Macy Marie Photography. A modern-romantic Iowa wedding, you can just see the love these two have for each other through all of the beautiful moments captured. And that is exactly what weddings are all about!

You may have been engaged already for 3 years, may have just gotten engaged this month or may be getting engaged later tonight but no matter how stressful wedding planning gets, just remember that love is the core of the wedding. And all you need it love!

12 Days of Weddings

On the 11th day of weddings, The Overwhelmed Bride inspired me...

This enchanting engagement shoot features bride-to-be Elise and her groom Michael. These two lovebirds met by chance at the gym. Elise proudly claims that she made the official first move but if you ask Michael, he might tell you something else! They went on their first date and the rest was history!

On December 30th of 2014, Michael popped the question in one of Elise's favorite places - Disneyland. He proposed on the little mermaid ride (Ariel is Elise's favorite princess for obvious reasons) during the "Kiss the Girl" portion of the ride. There were singing animals, fireworks and lots of love! It was totally magical and such a surprise, so much so that when Michael asked her to marry him she replied with "Are you serious?! Is that real?!"

They live in the East Bay with their fur children Daisy and Carli (who are featured wearing flower collars). Not only is Elise a bride but she is a wedding planner and florist who did all the floral work in the shoot! Michael works in the city and it's their second home over the bridge. They can't wait to tie the knot on May 13th, 2016 in Sonoma County in a redwood forest!
