Hello beautiful brides!

My name is Jenn and I LOVE everything weddings! From dating, to the oh so adorable proposals, to the dreaded wedding planning, the hectic wedding day, and the many anniversaries to come! Being in the industry for the past eight years, I have had various roles that have brought me to where I am today!

While studying Loyola Marymount University, I interned for a wedding coordinator (an Alpha Phi sister!) and fell in love with the industry. It was really just going to be a fun side internship and ended up being what I wanted to do with my life...crazy how things happen like that, huh? After graduating with a degree in Communication Studies, I landed my first "real" job as a Catering Director at a country club where I did everything from tours to planning to event execution. And we did around 130 weddings a year...yeah, you read it right.

I then moved on to be a Wedding Venue Consultant where it was my job to "match" my brides with their perfect venue so they didn't fall into the stress of having to tour 15-20-30 venues. Yes, 30 tours is actually the norm among brides...sounds overwhelming, doesn't it? I knew the venues from front to back and all of the little details in between, and knew the vision and budget of my couples. From there, I was able to make that perfect venue-bride match!

Fast forward to 2013 -- I married my prince charming (and yes, I hired a coordinator), started The Overwhelmed Bride, and most recently had a baby - Miss Ava Sue Hallak born on March 14, 2016. You can follow that journey over at www.theoverwhelmedmommy.com :)

So why am I here? I know that this is an extremely stressful but blissful time in your life, and I want to help! I want to help you have the most amazing experience of your life so let me help you plan that dream wedding. And don't forget to keepmarriage at the core of planning, every step of the way...because that's what weddings are all about!

FUN FACT: I am also an ordained minister in case I need to step in!

My heart still races when I send you down the aisle, I inevitably tear up during the father-daughter dance and a good toast will always make me laugh.

When I'm running events, whether it's an intimate birthday party or a 600+ attended art event, it's my job to make sure that your day is just as you imagined. I'm there to be your champion, your touch stone when you need to be calmed, I am your new best friend - at least for the day.

A blessing or a curse, I've always been a little left and a little right brained. I'm good at balancing my supportive, nurturing nature with an ability to be direct and take charge.

Fun Fact! I have a pug, her name is Lydia after Winona Ryder's character in Betelgeuse and a tonkinese cat named Mr. Edward Darcy. They weigh about the same and yes, they get along!
