South Amboy Waterfront Wedding | Meely Photography
Fil and Amy's wedding day was nothing short of perfection. The weather was warm and beautiful. An intimate group of family and friends gathered at the South Amboy waterfront to celebrate their undeniable love and connection.
"We were actually supposed to get married at City Hall in New Brunswick. Long story short, I called to confirm the date and time and the receptionist told me that I didn’t and confirming was unnecessary. She then proceeded to say: ‘Very few weddings are performed there and that this was where I would come to get my divorce’.
I thought: “ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!" Pregnant and emotional, I cried, A LOT and expressed my concerns to my soon to be husband that I really didn’t feel comfortable having our ceremony at City Hall. He agreed! Last minute, I called one of my very close friends who just happens to be an ordained minister and she agreed to marry us. We chose the waterfront because it holds sentimental memories for me. My late father would always anchor his boat at the light house which was visable in the distance from the waterfront. Since my dad could not walk me down the Aisle, we figured this was the next best thing."

“Remember to: LIKE EACH OTHER, LOVE WITH EVERY OUNCE OF YOUR BEING, COMMUNICATE, and most important LAUGH!!! We laugh every day."
