A Charleston Magnolia Plantation Wedding

We arrived in Charleston before Natalie and Matt’s wedding at Magnolia Plantation to have time to walk the grounds of its historic gardens and home.  We were instantly charmed by its spanish moss draped trees and rather vocal peacocks.  One in particular stood watch at the front of the house as he waited, hoping for some peanuts.  Natalie hadn’t originally planned to have as many teal elements in her wedding but as she got closer to the wedding date, her gorgeous wedding shoes took her down a path of one of the most beautifully laid out color palettes I have seen this month.

The morning of the wedding, Natalie and her sweet bridesmaids got ready in the elegant Planter’s Inn, in the heart of downtown Charleston and just a few blocks from where she and Matt had their first look at Waterfront Park.  From there everyone headed to Magnolia Plantation for a sweet ceremony with handcrafted vows and an impromptu salute to Matt being a pilot as a plane flew overhead.

Natalie and Matt’s guests were treated to a lovely meal on the Veranda of Magnolia’s historic home before heading to an evening of sweet, heartfelt toasts by friends and family and a first dance to “I was made for loving you”  by Tori Kelly and Ed Sheeran.  The evening came to a close with a candlelit bubble sendoff and cupcakes for all the guests to take home.  Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Berson as well as sweet Wallace.

A Las Positas Vineyards Wedding

It was a beautiful evening in the vineyards, couldn’t have picked a more perfect day in October. The venue was an intimate setting filled with the bride and groom’s closest family and friends; you could truly feel the love in the air. Adorable programs at the end of the aisle doubled as fans to cool us down on the warm fall evening, with a special note from the couple, thanking us for being there, as we were about to witness a very special day in their lives.

She walked down the aisle with her arm wrapped tightly around her dad’s; the gaze that she and her groom shared was one you see in the movies. There wasn’t a dry in the crowd. The ceremony was short and sweet, but pulled at your heart strings listening to the words that they had chosen to have read. The crowd enjoyed a few personal jokes snuck in by the officiant that got everyone laughing.

Las Positas Vineyards and the Livermore Valley surrounding are absolutely stunning, especially in the fall with all the changing colors in the vineyards; changing just as their bond together was changing on that beautiful day.
After the newlyweds were introduced to the crowd, there was a surprise guest that was invited by the groom’s parents. Lou Seal, the San Francisco Giants Mascot. To say the least it was a hit with the crowd, not many can say that their favorite baseball team’s mascot was at their wedding. And the surprises didn’t stop there…the groom and his mom had something else up their sleeves. Their dance together started as they usually do, but then the music skipped and the whole wedding party was on the dance floor with some choreographed moves, and with that the party began.

Oh and I can’t forget to mention and quite possibly my favorite detail, instead of cake, the bride and groom had an ice cream bar for the guest to enjoy as we mingled and danced the night away.
