"Jason casually asked me on our Saturday night date night if I'd like to go to a picnic Sunday evening because the weather was supposed to be nice. I didn't think anything of it, since we've had picnics several times in the past. Sunday came and he picked me up promptly at 7, like he said he would. He was dressed a little nicer than he usually would for the a picnic, but I suppressed thoughts that IT could be happening tonight.
We drove to "our" spot under "our" tree and overlooking the York River. Jason brought sushi and wine. After he had about three pieces of sushi, he said he was full, which I thought was rather odd. But then he put on Usher Slow Jams radio on Pandora and we talked and watched the sunset. He was definitely not in a rush to leave and even opened another bottle of wine.
The sun was just about setting when he started asking me how much I loved him and then he pulled the ring out of his pocket! We spent the next few hours in bliss calling all our friends and family! It was such a beautiful night to remember."
