The first weekend in April for Cleveland brought cold temperatures and even snow to the Great Lakes area. It's not unusual for Cleveland to experience four seasons in one day, but that's not what brides typically dream about for their wedding day. But the blushing bride, Michelle, didn't let the weather stop her from having the best day of her life with the man of her dreams, Jon.
The morning started with detail photos at University Circle United Methodist Church, which was built in 1928. The cathedral architecture in the sanctuary is absolutely breathtaking. Jon and Michelle shared their first look on the steps outside the magnificent church and then later shared their vows in front of their friends and family at the altar. After being announced as husband and wife, rose petals fell from the tower while the newlyweds shared a kiss.
Across town, the wedding reception at the Windows on the River in the Flats was just gorgeous, with the Cleveland skyline in the distance. Floor to ceiling windows brought in the perfect amount of natural light before dinner and provided impressive canvases of the sunset.
Braving Mother Nature's mood swings for the day, Jon and Michelle were able to share quiet moments outside posing for romantic portraits. The bridal party took advantage of the brick walls inside the venue while it rained sideways one minute and snowed the next. As guests walked into the River View Room, their moms' wedding dresses and wedding day mementos were displayed as beautiful memories of their wedding days. This elegant Cleveland, Ohio wedding was definitely an evening to remember.
