A McKinney Falls State Park Engagement Session

"We were planning our yearly anniversary vacation to a local beach resort when Daulton suggested we go to Puerto Vallarta (big switch!) but I didn't bat an eye. I was so excited! We spent a few days relaxing and exploring. We went for a walk down the board walk (taking our tourisy selfies) Daulton asked a few passerby to take our picture in front of the ocean. He got down on one knee and took me completely by surprise! I thought he was joking! But this was no joke. He put this gorgeous ring on my finger and asked to devote our lives to each other. I said yes, of course! "

Margaret & Daulton have that giddy 6th-grade dance kind of love, but also that seasoned, parents-of-a-toddler, kind of love. They've been together for years, entered into foster parenthood in their early twenties and ended up adopting their son, just a few short days after getting engaged. They have hearts that are genuine and pure, full of service, joy, and most of all...love.

Check out the most stunning McKinney Falls State Park engagement session, filled with love, smiles and even some in the water engagement shots!

A Chicago Engagement

"After Alex moved to Chicago, he planned a fancy night out to celebrate being “Roommates for Life” with Amanda. After spending all day unpacking boxes and getting situated in their itty bitty one bedroom apartment they were able to find some clothes to wear and got glammed up to go out and celebrate.

They went to North Pond which is a Michelin star restaurant nestled on a pond in Lincoln Park. They were seated in the corner by the fireplace, where all the French doors were open to take in the evening breeze with a view of the city. Alex had ordered a beautiful bouquet of flowers for the table and Amanda was completely oblivious of what was to come. They dined on multiple courses of dinner and talked about life. Amanda told Alex this was the most romantic date she had ever been on and she was soon to find out just why. After dinner they decided to go on a walk, but first they sat on a bench outside to take in the sunset with the city skyline twinkling behind.

As the sun was setting Alex told Amanda what that exact spot had meant for them. It was where they first decided to move to Chicago together and where they decided to move in together. Alex wanted it to be remembered for one other occasion—the place he asked Amanda to marry him.

Bursting with happiness the two carried on with their walk where they called their family and friends to tell them the joyous news."

This Chicago engagement is just gorgeous...and just wait until you see her custom gold pear halo engagement ring!
