Algarve, Portugal Beach Engagement Photos

"Our engagement was a small getaway weekend to Barcelona that turned into a huge surprise engagement. Joao secretly planned an entire weekend including booking a Luxury Suite in one of Barcelona's top hotels, spa sessions, a Flamenco dance show with dinner and my favorite Belgian chocolate in our hotel suite. I didn't suspect anything because I was stressed from work and thought he was just trying to do something nice for me.

On our third day there, eventually he proposed on the couch in our room while we munched on tapas. I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. He arranged to have our special wine delivered to our room after I said "Yes" and some more chocolate! After we cried our eyes out and called our family to tell them the news, we both had a full body massage and facial. The best part was that he had actually asked my dad for his blessing six months prior to the engagement, so my whole family knew and didn't tell me."

Nevena is from Serbia and João is Portuguese and they are living in Brussels together. They decided that they wanted to take sunny beach engagement photos on a secret beach in Sagres, Algarve Portugal where they met some years ago and the photos are beyond stunning.

A McKinney Falls State Park Engagement Session

"We were planning our yearly anniversary vacation to a local beach resort when Daulton suggested we go to Puerto Vallarta (big switch!) but I didn't bat an eye. I was so excited! We spent a few days relaxing and exploring. We went for a walk down the board walk (taking our tourisy selfies) Daulton asked a few passerby to take our picture in front of the ocean. He got down on one knee and took me completely by surprise! I thought he was joking! But this was no joke. He put this gorgeous ring on my finger and asked to devote our lives to each other. I said yes, of course! "

Margaret & Daulton have that giddy 6th-grade dance kind of love, but also that seasoned, parents-of-a-toddler, kind of love. They've been together for years, entered into foster parenthood in their early twenties and ended up adopting their son, just a few short days after getting engaged. They have hearts that are genuine and pure, full of service, joy, and most of all...love.

Check out the most stunning McKinney Falls State Park engagement session, filled with love, smiles and even some in the water engagement shots!

A Sweet Brooklynn Engagement

"I had been planning a trip to Hawaii for work for quite some time. My boss (at Chanel) was being quite odd about cancelling and then re-planning the trip several times.  Finally one day, he said ok, you're going because I can't go and had me schedule my flights.  I came home to Ben and told him how odd my boss's behavior was and just kept supporting me saying, at least you're going to Hawaii!

Little did I know, Ben and my boss had been colluding on my proposal together and my boss was truly trying to let me NOT go to Hawaii because Ben had planned his proposal for that weekend! However, he really did get stuck with an option which left him no choice but to send me instead!

Meanwhile, Ben re-scheduled all of his plans to be ready for my return.  As I was in a taxi back from the flight, he had texted to ask what I wanted to do for dinner that night and casually mentioned that he forgot to get the packages from our doorman if I could pick them up.  When I had arrived, my doorman handed me flowers with a note that said, "Can't wait to see you tonight" from Ben. I was smitten in the elevator and once I walked into my apartment saw many more flowers and a note that said, "Just kidding - meet me on the roof now!"

I raced up to the roof where Ben was standing with one more bouquet and he got down on one knee and proposed.  I was so thrown off that it happened as I was just returning from my trip and he had taken the day off to surprise me! We walked around Brooklyn as I called my family and friends and he told me he had made dinner reservations for us at the Wythe Hotel.  Upon our arrival and grabbing a drink, he wanted to show me the sunset and as we walked towards the patio, our parents and his grandparents were there to surprise us.  I completely broke down in tears that everyone was there to celebrate with us and we had an amazing meal together. It was truly special!"
