There are some brides who like uniformity and those who like "organized chaos" and no matter which type of bride you are, we can all agree that each and every one of our bridesmaids has personalities that are far different than each other. So does putting them all in the same dress, with the same jewelry, shoes, and matching hairstyles work? Of course it does! But it may (in some cases) make a few of them not so happy.
While no bridesmaid should be giving you grief since it is YOUR wedding day, it's always going to happen whether you like it or not! So in order to allow each and every one of your bridesmaids to show of their personalities and most importantly, feel comfortable and beautiful on your wedding day too, here are some of our favorite ways to allow your bridesmaids to let their personalities shine!
Shoes
While your maid of honor may love wearing 6 inch heels, you may have another bridesmaid who is pregnant and would prefer flats or lower heels to keep her baby safe. So let them choose a pair of shoes they each feel comfortable in - you can even choose the color - and I promise, it'll make some adorable photos too :)
Hairstyles

We all have different hair - long, short, thick, thin, curly, wavy, or straight. And we can all agree that not every hairstyle is going to work for every single bridesmaid. While you have the power to "accept" or "reject" the hairstyle of choice, let them mix it up and choose a style that fits their personalities!
Jewelry
One of the best subtle ways of letting your girls show off their true selves, is to allow them to choose which earrings or necklace or bracelet they're going to wear. If you're a control freak, then just have them show you what they have in mind for you to approve beforehand.
Dresses
A very popular trend right now is letting bridesmaids choose their own dresses. I've seen brides who let them choose from 2-3 options, brides who let them choose any style as long as it's the shade and fabric she wants, and even many brides go as far as letting their bridesmaids choose any dress, any style, any length and any fabric, as long as it's within a specific color palette. And it looks beautiful! Just make sure you see the dresses beforehand, to make sure they all look as planned.

One of my favorite options are the dresses that are all the same, but allow you to change the straps to slightly alter the look! You could even have your bridesmaid wear them all uniform during your ceremony, and allow them to switch it up and have fun for a couple of photos and during the reception!

Bouquets
While I haven't seen it done as often, allow each of your bridesmaids to design her bouquet, within the palette you've chosen! This is such a cute way to allow your girls to get involved in planning and to have a little fun with it! And how adorable would those photos look??

Walk Up Song
One way our wedding party was able to have a little fun and show off their personalities, was to choose their own walk up song, as part of the grand entrance! You know when you're at a baseball game and a song plays as each player walks up to bat? It's just like that! And our wedding party had so much fun with it!
No matter what you choose for your girls, make sure they feel involved in planning and most of all, comfortable and beautiful. You want great photos right? Well a happy, comfortable bridesmaid is definitely going to help that :)
