9 Supermarket Treats That You Should Eat During Your Engagement

Here's a fun fact for your Saturday morning: It's totally OK to enjoy "treat food" during your engagement.

In fact, a daily dose of "yum" is not only good for your taste buds, it could also help you reach your bridal body goals even faster.

Say what?!

This is because as soon as a food is off-limits
it tends to make us crave it even more, which can lead to overeating, guilt, and saying things like: "I knew I couldn't stick to this, so why bother trying."

The more realistic (and enjoyable) approach is to primarily eat nutritious whole foods — such as vegetables, fruit, whole grains, fish, meat, and healthy fats — and then enjoy a small treat each day.

This week on Mind Body Bride I've listed 9 of my favorite supermarket treats, ranging from popcorn to chips, and chocolate to ice cream. These are the kind of packaged snacks that I’m happy to put into my body, the one’s that don’t make me feel blah, and I bet you'll love them too!

Once you've had a chance to check out the list I would love to hear about your favorite treats. Let me know by leaving a comment below.

A Healthy Spring Risotto Recipe

Written with love, by Jennifer Dene

Risotto is one of my favorite comfort food dishes, up there with spaghetti bolognese, chicken soup and grilled cheese! But it can also be really heavy, filling and calorically dense.

This week on Mind Body Bride I'm sharing a recipe for a lighter version of this classic dish, that saves you calories without losing any flavor.

Come on over the blog and download the recipe today!
